Kate Sicchio is a multiplicity. She is a choreographer, media artist, and performer. Her work includes dance performances, installations, web and video projects and has seen shown in Philadelphia, New York City, Canada, Germany and the UK, at venues such as Banff New Media Institute, WAX, and Gallery Siano.

She started combining dance and media at The University of the Arts in Philadelphia, USA. There she was awarded the Promising Artist Award and graduated with a BFA in Modern Dance and Multimedia. In 2005 she completed her MA in Digital Performance at University Centre, Doncaster, UK where she continued to explore dance, video, and interactivity within a live performance setting. She is formulating PhD research which will investigate the relationship of realtime systems and the content of choreography.

Kate Sicchio has had extensive teaching experience as course leader of BA(Hons) Dance Practice at University Centre Doncaster. There she taught contemporary dance, choreography, and interactive performance technology to both undergraduate and masters level students.

Other scholarly activity includes paper presentations at (re)Actor2 International Conference, Leeds UK and Moves Screen Choreography Conference, Manchester UK, as well serving as External Adviser for University of East London BA (Hons) Dance: Urban Practice and BA (Hons) Community Arts Practice and on the editorial board International Journal for Performance Arts with Digital Media.
